U-space flight plan authorisation process: safe and fair access
Current regulation provides tight access to airspaces by setting a queued approach in the flight plan authorisation process, causing immediate rejection for those not fulfilling all airspace restrictions.
This solution proposes a set of pre-defined fairness rules, applying to unmanned aerial system (UAS) operators, along with safety separation between flight plans. This proposal would enhance the current strategic conflict detection and resolution (SCDR) services and would also introduce a new service responsible for monitoring the separation between pairs of flight plans.
These new services will benefit end users, such as UAS operators, by optimising the management of unmanned flight plans, ensuring the safety of all operations while providing fair access to all UAS operators.
