GNSS-related services provide users with monitoring tools for global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signal performance and position integrity, together with interference information. Data streams from GNSS signals and sentinels feed the local platform to evaluate performance and detect potential radio frequency interference (RFI) events. The solution provides both real-time and off-line GNSS status per area (e.g., terminal manoeuvring area) or route and supports related performance-based navigation (PBN) applications.

Additionally, the solution uses, as a further evolution of traditional receiver autonomous integrity monitoring (RAIM) techniques, the advanced A-RAIM tool to compute estimated integrity parameters (protection levels) based on constellation geometry, visibility, and signal quality assumptions.

The solution provides services to end users via application programming interface (API) and system-wide information management (SWIM) interfaces connected to the central platform, which also provides solutions 464 and 465. It enables an enhanced overview of both real-time and off-line GNSS status, highlighting, through measures (GNSS performance indicators and interference estimation) and prediction (A-RAIM), the level of service provision.

The proposed approach aligns with the ICAO GNSS Manual regarding GNSS monitoring, where GPS and RAIM are used for all phases of flight (e.g., en-route, departure, arrival, final approach).

The solution integrates and complements the initial work performed in the context of the BLUEGNSS project, previously funded by EUSPA. It targets a wide set of users, ranging from airlines to drone operators, and contributes to building a global map of available navigation means, supporting the provision of a more available and efficient navigation service.
