The multisensor surveillance tracking service (MSTS) provides a consolidated cross-border picture of the airspace situation to interested aviation and non-aviation stakeholders. This technological solution leverages a cloud-based architecture to meet stringent surveillance service requirements, including performance, security, safety, and data management.

The solution integrates and consolidates surveillance data according to air traffic management (ATM) data service provision (ADSP) surveillance service definitions from PJ.32-W3-02 multi-ADSPs (triangle architecture) virtual centre, which reached technology readiness level 2 (TRL2) in the prior SESAR wave. The solution is aligned with the triangle architecture. The service aggregates data from multiple sources, such as radar sensors and automatic dependent surveillance–broadcast (ADS-B), to extend cross-border coverage. Surveillance data is provided in ASTERIX CAT62 format via a publish/subscribe service as per system-wide information management (SWIM) API definitions for ATM users, and in a simplified JSON format for external use.

The solution ensures compliance with relevant regulations and standards in data governance, technical implementation, and service provision, making it suitable for safety-critical applications and as a contingency option for virtual centres.

BENEFITS
