Tour 7: CNS - the digital backbone of air traffic management

Reliable communications, navigation and surveillance systems form the digital backbone of modern air traffic management. This walking tour explores the next generation of CNS technologies that will support the Digital European Sky and the implementation of Common Project 2 (CP2).

Participants will discover innovations ranging from multi-link air-ground communications and satellite-based surveillance to integrated CNS data services and resilient connectivity infrastructure. Through demonstrations, simulations and validation results, the tour highlights how these technologies enable more connected, resilient and interoperable ATM systems, paving the way for the deployment of CP2 capabilities across Europe’s airspace.
