NOMAD aims to develop the next-generation service-oriented, modular, multi-vendor air traffic services (ATS) platform in line with the European ATM Master Plan. It delivers two complementary solutions: solution 1, automated, demand-driven air traffic control, advances human–machine teaming, dynamic demand–capacity balancing, AI-based automation up to Level 4, TBO, silent datalink-based ATC, and local demand–capacity balancing; solution 2, service-driven next-generation ats platform, provides a multi-vendor, cloud-native architecture with modular services, automated deployment, cyber-resilience and certification readiness. NOMAD aims to achieve TRL6, demonstrating scalable, interoperable, safe and environmentally sustainable European air traffic management.
