NATICA aims to implement the new service-oriented delivery model, decoupling service provision from local infrastructure to increase interoperability. This enhances the next-generation air traffic control (ATC) platform, allowing interaction across control centres and borders via open, standardised interfaces, and enabling trajectory-based operations in highly automated environments. Flights can better utilise aircraft capabilities and sector capacities while minimising climate impact, and conflicts can be resolved earlier for improved safety.
NATICA accelerates adoption of the service delivery model and regulatory framework, increasing resilience and supporting innovation. By bringing together industry partners, air navigation service providers (ansps), airlines, and research establishments, NATICA will develop and validate capabilities for the core air traffic services (ATS) platform, focusing on en-route and terminal area management (TMA), delivering an interoperable, optimised, and highly automated ATC platform.
