ARTEMISA contributes to the Digital European Sky vision in SESAR Phase C and Phase D of the European ATM Master Plan, delivering next-generation en-route and terminal manoeuvring area platforms. ARTEMISA aims to advance automation to Level 4, where decisions and actions are implemented silently within nominal operations, supporting cyber-secured information exchanges in a virtual centre architecture, and ensuring seamless interoperability across platforms via a modular, service-oriented design.
The project modernises air traffic management systems, enhances human–machine collaboration, improves trajectory predictability, strengthens cyber-resilience, supports dynamic airspace and capacity management, integrates military operations, and delivers seven solutions essential for next-generation ATM, aligned with the Master Plan transformation levers. The consortium includes one ground industry partner, Indra, and eight air navigation service providers that form the iTEC Alliance.
