SESAR Walking Tours 2025 - Walking Tour 2 - Tuesday 13 May
|
Tuesday 13 May
Trajectory-based operations (TBO) is a cornerstone of the SESAR vision for a smarter, more efficient, and environmentally sustainable air traffic management system. By moving from a tactical, sector-by-sector control approach to one that is strategic, collaborative, and trajectory-centric, TBO enables all actors—airlines, air traffic controllers, network managers, and airports — to operate based on a shared, precise view of each flight’s planned path. On this tour, you’ll see a range of pioneering projects that bring TBO to life, demonstrating real-world applications at local, cross-border, and network levels. From advanced controller support tools to multi-stakeholder coordination platforms, today’s demonstrations show how Europe is taking bold steps to make TBO operational. |
